Linda Edna Cardellini (n e Lorraine (Hernan), is the daughter of Wayne David Cardellini (a successful businessman). She is Italian via her father's grandfather. Her breakout moment came in the year 2015, when she portrayed the lead role in Cinderella which was a film about fantasy. She had previously played the role of Lady Rose MacClare as part of the period drama Downton Abbey. James later played the The Countess Natasha Rostova on the TV adaptation of War & Peace in 2016. James has appeared in numerous films such as Baby Driver (2017) and period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society 2018 and The Dig 2021, as well as the musicals Mamma Mia! We Go Again 2018 and Yesterday (2019). Then, in 2022 her character in the role of Pamela Anderson was recognized with the Golden Globe nomination and a Primetime Emmy Award.
